SER’s Healthcare Careers Pathway Programs involve two main components:

1. Helping lower-skilled, lower-income adults gain access to training that leads to a viable career in healthcare
2. Helping local healthcare employers find quality staff

SER’s Healthcare Bridge is the cornerstone of our program and, in partnership with Daley College and the Arturo Velasquez Institute, the Bridge has helped nearly 150 individuals successfully complete a contextualized literacy and numeracy program so that they may gain admission into a healthcare-focused occupational training program at Chicago City Colleges and ultimately find employment at a healthcare facility.

SER’s CTC (Community Technology Center) is a neighborhood-based center hat offers any community resident with access to computers and high-speed internet, especially to help aid residents in job search activities. SER also employs a bilingual computer instructor who teaches both basic and intermediate level computer classes that include the following:

• Microsoft Excel®, Word®, PowerPoint®, Publisher®
• Keyboarding
• Navigating the Internet
• Online Job Search Skills
• Resume Creation
• Introduction to HTML
• Introduction to E-Mail
• other classes. 

Completion of these courses makes the job sneaker more marketable.

El CTC (Centro Comunitario de Tecnología) de SER es un centro basado en el vecindario qué ofrece acceso de servicio de Internet de alta rapidez, especialmente para ayudar asistir a los residentes en sus actividades en la búsqueda de empleo. SER también a empleado a un Instructor bilingüe de computación, qué enseña en los niveles básico e intermedio en la computación. Estas son algunas de las clases qué ofrecemos:
